That’s why Testing Partners offers Protection testing that evaluates the resistance to particle and liquid entry for any enclosed electronic device. Once we complete the necessary testing your device will receive an IP rating.

What products need to be protected against ingress?

Most electronic and lighting fixtures sold in the United States and Canada must carry an ingress protection rating. These products include but are not limited to, computers, laboratory equipment, medical devices, and light fixtures.

IP testing may be voluntary but certain manufacturers may require it.
