UAE Postpones UAE.S 5010-1:2019, New Energy Efficiency Requirements for Household Air Conditioners

The Ministry of Industry and Advanced Technology (MoIAT), formerly Emirates Authority for Standards and Metrology (ESMA),  announced new implementation dates for the enforcement of the 2019 version of the UAE.S 5010-1:2019 “Labeling – Energy efficiency label for electrical appliances – Part 1: Household Air Conditioners” about EER limits for the equipment.

Effective January 1, 2023, household air conditioners exporting to the UAE market must show compliance to the new standard and EER limits of UAE.S 5010-1:2019.
